New RMA Requests Created from the Backend

The biggest benefit of this update is that now, Magento admins are able to initiate and create RMA requests right from the backend. This opportunity is especially valuable if you regularly receive return requests offline.

For this purpose, enter the Manage RMA page (Sales > RMA by Aheadworks > Manage RMA) and click the New Request button. This will open the New request page with the following sections: General Information, Products, Customer Information, and RMA History.

RMA Major Aspects: How to Handle Them with the RMA Extension by Aheadworks

Whether they like it or not, sometimes, online store merchants should deal with RMA requests of customers dissatisfied with the quality of products purchased.

RMA Major Aspects: How to Handle Them with the RMA Extension by Aheadworks

To manage the RMA process in a store effectively, online merchants should take care of the major aspects of this process. In this article, we will describe these aspects and consider how the whole RMA process can be managed with the help of the Aheadworks RMA  extension for Magento 2.

RMA Process Major Steps

Ideally, during the RMA process, an online store merchant approves a return request of a customer, as it corresponds to the return policy established in a store. In this case, the RMA process generally has the following sequence:

RMA Process Major Steps

Each product return process starts with the RMA Request Creation step, during which a customer completes the required fields in an RMA request form before sending it to a merchant. It’s important that such form helps customers describe the reasons for the return request in as much detail as possible and to provide all relevant information about the item to be returned.

Once the form is completed, a customer submits it, usually, by clicking on the corresponding button below the form. Then, it comes the RMA Request Verification & Authorization step, during which the request is checked by a store admin for conformance to the store’s product return policy.

Perhaps you know that, according to IMRG, 36% of the UK customers miss the offline ease of returning items in online stores. So, the ultimate goal of merchants is to make this process as simple as it is offline and the latest version of the RMA extension for Magento 2 brings this moment just a bit closer.

Web API Support
The new opportunity to integrate the RMA functionality into any third-party application via API is useful for many businesses. For example, you may need to import and update the RMA data, or even create RMA requests in your CRM system. That’s where the web API support is going to be a great enhancement towards the required integration allowing you to streamline your business processes.

Magento 2 RMA Release: Manage Returns Efficiently

Product returns are absolutely natural for retail and sometimes wholesale businesses, but without proper control the process may turn into the real chaos irritating for customers and devastating for businesses.

Magento 2 RMA Release

Efficient management provides both sides with the confidence that their interests are met and they are able to achieve their goals. Usually, customers want to get their money back or replace items, while merchants strive to prevent fraud payments and try to retain customers by all means.

Return Merchandise Authorization is the common practice covering and handling the whole process of product returns and today we release an ad-hoc Magento 2 extension for this purpose – RMA. RMA is a one-stop solution taking care of all aspects of the Return Merchandise Authorization process, including the intuitive RMA submission form, dedicated chat, and additional settings necessary to personalize and streamline product returns of any specific business.
